Notts and the sea

Well well, what a weekend - firstly we saw the band roll into Oakleigh Lodge British Legion in Notts for a 40's dance and what a lovely venue that is - the band played their hearts out as per usual and lovely to have Paul Hollis in with us on lead Alto and clarinet. The pinnacle was having our trumpet player Roy Symonds sound out a stirring rendition of Reveille in remembrance to the fallen.

We then took our leave at 2.30pm and headed on up to Hangar 42 at Blackpool for the next of our big swing hangar dances - absolutely brilliant as always, over 200 guests doing their thing and swinging from start to finish - more dates being planned for next year as well. A really great night of entertainment for everyone.
